Investigate the relationship between features of circles such as circumference, area, radius and diameter. Use formulas to solve problems involving circumference and area.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"4\" valign=\"top\" width=\"616\"><b>Task description : <\/b>Students find ten circular objects around the learning space and record the diameter and circumference of each. They then find the ratio of circumference to diameter of each circle. This will enable them to see that the ratio is always \u03c0. They then use this to find unknown radii, diameters and circumferences of circles.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"4\" valign=\"top\" width=\"616\"><b>Assessment options : <\/b>Photograph of circular objects.
