Chance

Design two surveys to ask students in the school a question. Make one to collect discrete data and one to collect continuous data.

Graph your results using Create-a-Graph. Identify the mean, median, range and the mode of the data. Use Excel to sort the data.

●      students use metric units to estimate and measure length, perimeter, area, surface area, mass, volume, capacity time and temperature.

●      They measure as accurately as needed for the purpose of the activity.

●      They convert between metric units of length, capacity and time (for example, L–mL, sec–min).
